2012 Speaking Engagements
Mr. Robbins
will serve as the
Co-Chair for the
Los Angeles County Bar Association’s 32nd
Annual Labor and Employment
Law Symposium to be held at
the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on March 7, 2012.
In addition, once again, he will moderate the "Year in
Review" panel.

will participate in a program entitled "Sexual
Harassment, News and Views" sponsored by the New
Hampshire Bar Association. The program will take place on
February 16, 2012, in Concord, New Hampshire.

2011 Speaking Engagements
Mr. Robbins spoke about workplace investigations in
two programs, "Examining the Investigation" and
"Expert Testimony on Trial, By the Experts."
The seminar took place at the
Annual Conference of
the
Association of Workplace
Investigators (AWI) held on
November 13 to 15, 2011.
Ms.
Balin
and
Ms.
Blake also
spoke at the same conference in a program on
investigations entitled, "Enlisting
Your Clients' Help In Maintaining Investigation
Integrity”
Mr. Robbins spoke about workplace investigations at the 29th Annual
Meeting of the California Bar Association's Labor &
Employment Section. The program was entitled
Use of Liability Experts in Harassment Litigation.
The program took place October 15, 2011, in
Anaheim California.
On July 8, 2011,
Mr.
Barer presented at an full day seminar on
conducting workplace investigations. The seminar, was sponsored by
the
California Association of Workplace
Investigators (CAOWI)
and by the California State Bar Association.
On June 15, 2011,
Mr.
Barer spoke on workplace investigations to the West
Valley chapter of the California Employment Lawyers

Mr. Robbins served as
the Coordinator for the Los Angeles County Bar
Association’s 31st Annual Labor and
Employment Law Symposium held in March

Mr. Robbins spoke about workplace investigations at the
First Annual
Conference
of
the
California Association of Workplace
Investigators (CAOWI). The conference
was held on
November 4, 5, & 6, 2010 in Oakland,
California.
On November 4, 2010,
Ms.
Blake served as a panelist in an Ogletree Deakins’
Labor and Employment Law Seminar entitled "Enforcement
Trends of the ADA."
On November 4, 2010,
Ms.
Blake served as a Beverly Hills Bar Association Inn
of Court, panelist for a program entitled, "When Law
Firms Downsize: Racial, Gender and Age Bias Claims
as Pink Slips Proliferate."
On September 13
and 14, 2010, Ms.
Balin and Ms.
Blake spoke at the EEOC's Technical Assistance Program Seminar
(TAPS) in Palm Springs. They participated in a
presentation entitled, “Twists in the Road:
Navigating the Pitfalls and Dilemmas of Workplace
Investigations.”
On June 1, 2010,
Mr. Robbins
spoke at the California Association of Workplace Investigator’s
program, "Mastering the Art of Workplace
Investigations." The program was co-sponsored by the California State Bar
Association..

n May
26, 2010,
Mr. Robbins
and Dr.
Sniderman
spoke on
reasonable accommodation and interactive process issues at a Human Resource
conference sponsored by
EmpowerTech. The program
was entitled, "Dispelling
Misconceptions
Pertaining to the Employment of Individuals with
Disabilities" and
was held in Los
Angeles.
Mr. Robbins served as
the Coordinator for the Los Angeles County Bar

On December 3, 2009, Ms.
Blake participated in a panel for the Beverly Hills
Bar Association Inn of Court
on a program entitled, “Protecting the Privilege,
Conflicts and Waiver - Ethical Issues When a Firm
Represents the Company and Its Officers.”
On September 10, 2009 Ms.
Balin and Ms.
Blake spoke at the 2009 EEOC's Technical Assistance
Program Seminar in Pasadena California. Their topic was
entitled, "Now What? Managing Performance in the
Workplace in the Wake of a Discrimination Claim." They
were joined by well-known defense and plaintiff's'
attorneys as well as an in-house Human Resource
Professional.
Dr.
Sniderman spoke before the Society for
Human Resource Management (SHRM) at their 61st Annual
Conference and Exposition, June 28 - July, 1,
2009, in New Orleans, Louisiana. His topic was
"Managing the Disabled Worker."

On November 10,
2008, at 10:00 a.m.,
Dr.
Sniderman was featured on the internet radio
program, Voice
America Business talking about "5 Human Resource
Mistakes That Will Sink Your Ship".
On November 6,
2008,
Ms. Blake and Mr. Sniderman were
panelists at an MCLE presentation of the Beverly Hills
Bar Association Inn of Court regarding disability
accommodation under the ADA and FEHA, entitled
“To Accommodate or Not to Accommodate—Is
That a Question?” .
On March 6, 2008,
Mr.
Robbins participated in the
28th Annual Los Angeles County Bar
Association’s Labor and Employment Law
Symposium. Mr. Robbins moderated the panel,
"Hot Topics in Disability
Discrimination."

On May 10, 2007 Mr. Robbins
addressed the Wilshire Bar Association on "Sexual
Harassment Investigations; Protecting your Clients,
Protecting Your Law Firm."
On June 1, 2007 Mr. Robbins
participated in the California State Bar's panel
"Internal Investigations on Trial: Plaintiff and
Defense Perspectives" This program will be repeated in
2008 in Northern California.
On July
12,2007,
Ms.
Balin addressed District 9 of PIHRA (Professionals In
Human Resources Association) on conducting workplace
investigations.
On September 10, 2007, Mr. Robbins
addressed the Labor & Employment Section of the
Orange County Bar Association on "Harassment and
Discrimination Investigations: Protecting Your Clients,
Protecting Your Law Firm."
On September 27, 2007, Mr. Robbins
participated in the California Employment Lawyers
Association Seminar, "Disability Discrimination
Cases; From Intake Through Trial".
On November 9, 2007, Mr. Robbins
participated in the Consumer Attorneys of California
seminar "Working on the Chain Gang, Accommodating the
Disabled Worker". The seminar took place during the
46th Annual Convention in San Francisco, California.

25, 2005, Mr. Robbins spoke at the Twenty
Fifth Annual Labor and Employment Law Symposium of the
Los Angeles County Bar Association.
On April
13, 2005, Mr. Robbins and Ms.
Balin spoke about conducting workplace
investigations at the Lorman Educational Services
seminar on "Employee Discharge and Documentation in
California."
On May 10, 2005,
Mr. Robbins
moderated the Los Angeles County Bar Association's
program on Lyle v. Warner Bros. (the
"Friends lawsuit)".
On June 25, 2005,
Mr. Robbins
spoke about conducting workplace investigations at the
Sixteenth Annual Convention of the National Employment Lawyers Association
(NELA) in Philadelphia, PA.

California on conducting workplace investigations in
